Lauren Cavers

Hi, I'm Lauren and I am from a small town in Dumfriesshire. I am 20-years old and in my last year at the University of Cumbria training to become a primary teacher. I will be graduating in July where I will then be heading out to Kenya with the team to help with the Katoto Crèche Project.

This is my first year involved with the project and cannot wait to get out there and make a real difference to the people in Bahati. The fundraising is great fun and so far everyone has been really generous. My training over the last three years has given me skills that will greatly benefit the children in Kenya.

I am really looking forward to this rewarding experience, and as I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new challenges it will be a worthwhile project of which I am thrilled to be a part.
