Olly Corbett

I’m Olly from Helensburgh, near Glasgow. I'm a 21-year old medical student at the University of Manchester, and I am currently in my third year, which is now clinical, studying at Hope Hospital in Salford. I am laid back, cheerful and enjoy a good laugh as well as a good beer.

Last year's project really affected me for many reasons. The people were amazing and so grateful for what we were doing. It was great to get to know so many different people and to learn some swahili too!

Through my clinical training this year I feel that I am becoming even more able to deal with the many and varied health problems that the locals suffered from. This has also reinforced my desire to use this to make a real difference in people's lives. This year's project is a natural extention to last year's and it is a unique chance for us to do something extremely worthwhile, providing significant and sustainable help to the people of Bahati.
